Nothing fills me more with joy than sitting down at the end of a long week at work with a new magazine. I’ve been reading Red for quite some time now, as the content and articles are really appropriate to my age bracket.

Being a beauty addict like myself, I turned straight over to the beauty pages and got a burst of inspiration when I saw the article Peach Perfect. I have been getting a tiny bit obsessed with peach shades lately, especially now I have nicely tanned skin and the sun has been shining.

Apart from adding a few more beauty products to my Wishlist — in particular the Guerlain Terra D’Or bronzer, as pictured on the feature page — I thought it was time to search through my stash for some great peachy pink colours that I could utilise in my beauty routine this month.

The NARS Orgasm Multiple is not only an iconic product, but also great for multiuse, as it’s in a shade that works well with any skin tone. It’s a definitive peachy pink with gold shimmer running throughout and can be used on the face, eyes, cheeks and lips as well as the body. Try running some of the multiple across your décolletage and shoulders for a subtle shimmer.

Benefit’s Majorette blusher is a wonderful peach blush with a cream to powder finish. When Majorette was launched, Benefit stated how Majorette is the blush to amp up your flush and can be worn alone or underneath another blusher to amplify the colour. It also smells just like peaches — divine!

I adore coral-hued lipsticks, so the MAC Costa Chic was an obvious choice for my peachy pink lipstick. It has a pretty frost finish and a very light pink coral tone that looks gorgeous with a tan. For added glossiness, a slick of Stila Lip Glaze in Pink Glaze gives the look of a plumped up pout. Wear it alone for a subtle shimmery pink iridescence.

The newest brand to hit the UK is Pop Beauty, and this eyeshadow trio in Peach Parfait fits in perfectly with the peachy pink theme. The colours are densely pigmented and can be used to create a natural daytime look. Or you can pack on the bronze for a more intense smoky eye.

I get so much pleasure from finding beauty inspiration in magazines. I think there’s nothing more exciting than folding down the corners of those pages that you like and revisiting them in days to come.
