Top five favourite lip products

Inspired by a recent article she read in her favourite magazine Grazia, beauty blogger Georgie Piccaver of Beans Beauty Blog gives us the lowdown of her favourite lip products of 2016...

Grazia magazine is a savvy read for a sassy girl. Packed with style, the latest beauty trends and current events, I love nothing more than chilling out with my glossy new copy and a glass of wine/cup of tea/cocktail (delete as appropriate). One of the latest editions was jam-packed with lip product reviews, so naturally it was time to let you in on my own top five favourites.

1. YSL Rouge Volupte - Nude Beige

Recently discovered, this balm/lipstick hybrid is creamy on the lips and the most perfect nude colour that accompanies any makeup look, be it a smoky eye, natural eye or cut crease. The pigmentation is intense and hydrating. Love, love, love! This is the only nude lipstick for me at the moment.

2. Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish

This handy little tube has an exfoliating tip that leaves lips looking smooth and soft. It's basically a gentle lip scrub in a tube and leaves lips perfectly prepped for lipstick. It soothes and hydrates perfectly to leave lips renewed.

3. Dior Addict Lip Glow

It may be £24, but it's totally worth it - skip the Starbucks run for a month and invest in this beauty instead. A customised balm that 'enhances and beautifies the natural colour of the lips', Lip Glow reacts with the temperature/chemistry of your lips so it looks different on everyone. Personally I find my lips look smoother, slightly pinker and fuller. The packaging is, as you would expect from Dior, beautiful, and the scent is minty. It’s just the perfect nude/pink lip balm to keep in your bag and I’m sure would suit everyone.

4. Guerlain Maxi Shine Bare Lip Sensation (472 Candy Hop)

The most beautiful, light pink, sheer lipgloss. For anyone looking for a nourishing lip-gloss, this is it. The formula is non-sticky, which is most welcome. I hate nothing more than freshly washed hair getting caught in the wind and sticking to glossy lips! Candy Hop adds a lovely shine leaving lips looking full and feeling hydrated. Perfect layered over Dior's Lip Glow.

5. Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain (035 Miami Fever)

It seems I have a certain penchant for nude lips at the moment. However, now the (hopefully) warmer weather is on its way, I fancy a change and want to switch things up a bit. So I turn to my trusty Revlon Moisture Stay in Miami Fever. The most perfect glossy, coral tone. This shiny gloss lasts for ages on the lips, is super hydrating and looks lovely with dewy skin and long lashes. The most perfect combo for the warmer months.
